Risen has a lot in common with previous Piranha Bytes games. The structure of the world, the quests and the splinter-ridden interface give the signature of the Essen firm. Even so, the new Nameless is not a criminal, but a victim of a shipwreck. Although this time there were no software bugs – extortion of eternal slovenliness, the authors released a surprisingly stable product. A German RPG without a heap of patches – a beast from the Red Book.
